Ross-Tech has over a decade of leadership in aftermarket diagnostics for VW-Audi Group vehicles.Ģ000:The first truly affordable, full-function diagnostic system for VW/Audi. You will still be required to have a broader understanding of the systems using a service manual, however VCDS provides you with the access to the car not possible with anything other than a factory scanner. This is not a “generic” scan tool but a fully capable diagnostic package that runs on your computer which provides you the owner with full access to accomplish: scanning, diagnosing and fully interfacing with your vehicle and it’s systems! You will no longer have to guess, VCDS provides plain language to assist you in diagnosing your car. This cable will pay for itself with as few as THREE uses based on what a dealer will charge to scan your vehicle. Works with Microsoft Windows and MAC running Windows Operating systems (our preference is the MAC with Parallels 7 or 8 and Windows 7 Pro)įor those not familiar, VCDS is “THE” tool you must have if you own a VW or Audi vehicle.

Software Download and Update Support: Download/Update Of course, under Boot Camp, the Mac would become a PC and work like any normal PC, but whats the fun in that. For: VW, Audi, Seat, and Skoda models from 1990 through 2012.

I use my MacBook Pro with VAG-COM USB-CAN cable and have not had any problems ever since the USB setting has been correctly set. The settings must be set to bypass/ignore the Mac and be seen by the virtual environment "natively", not under virtualisation. However, products like Parallels and VMWare on the Intel Macs is not emulation, it is "virtualisation" and that works perfectly as long as you correctly set the USB preferences in the chosen virtualisation package.Īll the products will support USB devices, but depending on the setting, will see it as a Mac hardware device and then try to access it "virtually". It also depended on which USB-Serial adapter was in use.
